As you begin to “wrap up” (pun intended!) your year, presents and possibly some last minute holiday shopping, all of us at Mary Kay wish you a safe and happy holiday season! Please enjoy a very special Mary Kay version of “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” written by Mary Kay Inc. Copywriter, Kristen Reed.

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were chock full of presents with flair
Even though old St. Nicholas hadn’t been there.

My mother was sleeping and dreaming in bed,
While visions of mascara danced in her head.
Her Mary Kay consultant had set me up right
So I’d bought all her favourites before that cold night.

But down in the hall there arose such a clatter,
I sprang up from bed to see what was the matter.
Down to the foyer I ran in a flash
Grabbing my bat for fear of a clash.

Like a fab bronzer, our home was all aglow
Every inch illuminated, up high and down low.
When, what to my cream-shadowed eyes should appear,
Pink wrapping paper strewn from the tree to the rear!

I followed the trail, so lively and quick,
And lo and behold it led to St. Nick!
I caught the old man with mom’s TimeWise Repair®
Getting ready to fly into the cold winter air.

“Now Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, on Donner and Blitzen!”
To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Her compact and fragrance, yes he took it all!

Before they could leave, I jumped onto the sleigh
Could not let my mom’s skin care gifts fly away!
So over the house-top the two of us flew,
On a sleigh full of Lash Love® and NouriShine® Plus, too.

And then, Santa landed his sleigh on my roof,
Snow flying up in a mineral powdery poof.
St. Nick turned to me holding his tears at bay
And gave me back all of my mom’s Mary Kay!

The dear old man sighed and then hung his head
Tugging at my heartstrings as he finally said:
“A bundle of toys I can make with my men
But nothing I make is this good for my skin!”

His eyes-how they watered! His grimace how sad!
Tried as I might, I just couldn’t stay mad.
All of my life, I’d been brought up to know
That Mary Kay® products always stole the show.

I looked at my armful of treasures in pink,
Then up at St. Nick and I began to think
About Mary Kay’s love of the Golden Rule.
In the blink of an eye, I felt my heart pull.

I gave my Mary Kay to the jolly old elf,
As he cried tears of joy, I shed some myself.
With a wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
I was off of the roof and back in my bed!

I spoke not a word as the moon shone outside
And crept back downstairs with my eyes open wide.
Lo and behold the whole house was packed
With more Mary Kay than I could track!

I realized that Santa for some unknown reason
Had tested my Go-Give spirit that season.
As I went back to bed, I heard a voice clear and bright.
“MARY Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”
